I envey you. I would really love to do this myself. I have a 67 Fairlane that I'm redesigning the front suspension to get rid of the shock towers. I am using coils from coilover shocks. They are only 3.5 inches dia. and have moved them closer to the fender line. They are 600 lb. coils and this really reduces the shocktower intrusion into the engine compartment.
The original plan was to use my 69 .030 over 429 but the fuel prices have hit me hard. I have a .060 over 351 windsor that I will put in instead. If the fuel prices go up again as they are now, I may go to a 302(OW! ) If I have to go that direction I will build a 12.5 to 1 with Mitchel Windsor jr heads. I'll shoot for around 400 Hp. I'll get you some picts as the project progresses.
