| 5.0 Exhaust Upgrades: Cat Back System |
| 1 Here are our Dynomax SuperTurbo mufflers and intermediate pipes. The shorter pipe (top) goes on the drivers side. The kit also comes with polished tail pipes, not shown here. | 2 If you are doing the install without a lift, you'll want to raise the back end of the car as high as possible. Always support the car on jack stands. | 3 Spray silicone lubricant or WD40 on exhaust hangers, this will make removal alot easier. |
| 4 We used a sawzall to cut the tail pipe right after the muffler. This is neccesary in order to remove the tail pipes, if the car is not on a lift. | 5 The tail pipe can then be removed by snaking it over the axle. | 6 Remove the two nuts per side which hold the mufflers to the h-pipe. The mufflers and intermediate pipes are now ready to come out. |
| 7 Locate the new mufflers on the hanger mounts, and then connect them to the h-pipe. The new tail pipes can then be snaked over the axle and slipped into the mufflers. | 8 Don't tighten any of the clamps until you are satisfied with the alignment of the tail pipes, otherwise they'll crimp the pipe and you wont be able to make adjustments | 9 We're not a big fan of clamps, so we drove to our local muffler shop and had them align and weld all the joints for a leak-proof system. |

10.
The Dynomax cat back system and headers sound and feel great.
There is a mellow burble at idle and cruise, and a deep aggressive
tone at idle. No drone or obnoxious metallic sounds from this
system!F/M
