If you do not already know this, SEMA is just a Show that occurs once a year in Las Vegas where the aftermarket shows off their wares, SEMA is a trade association that works hard to protect consumers’ rights to drive accessorized, customized and vintage vehicles. Additionally, they supply the aftermarket (that includes FordMuscle) with important marketing information about YOU, the consumer.
With that said, you may find a recent SEMA report very interesting, especially if you use the FordMuscle forum or ANY automotive forum for that matter. Your time spent sharing information is having an impact that is finally registering in SEMA market studies. According to the recent survey, when enthusiasts were asked:
Where do you research for custom parts and accessories prior to making a purchase?
45% of respondents answered with “Interenet Forums” as their place of research.
You may be saying “duh” right now, but for an industry that has been largely focused on print for so many years, this is great news for you and the continued growth of FordMuscle.
For the complete story and figures see the SEMA website
Yea, Duhh
Its nice to see some MAG’s dropping names like “FordMuscle forum” and the like. Heck, this months issue of Popular HotRodding mentions FordMuscle in their 70′ Fairlane 408 engine build up. Nice job guys!!!

By Ixtlan Sr. October 20th, 2007 at 11:35 amWhere else can you find opinions and info on an item that is somewhat unbiased?
The Manufactures web page=NOT
The Mag Article that was paid for by the Manu? = NOT
It is a little work to sort through the forums and draw your own decision, but you see pro’s as well as con’s.
Manufacture’s would be well advised to frequent these forums as a normal operating procedure.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again “better than any paperback rag”!
Come on now fellers, if ya’ ain’t fer us yer agin us!!!!
