We are starting to see many of the top vehicle manufacturers offering active-exhaust options to their list of available upgrades when ordering a new vehicle. And having the ability to adjust your car’s exhaust tone on the fly has proven to be a popular upgrade.

But what about those of us that want to add this kind of adjustability to our performance vehicles after the fact? Hooker Headers, a recognized leader in the performance aftermarket industry, released a new electronic valve controller that gives enthusiasts the option of customizing the exhaust tone of their vehicles at a push of a button.

This universal system allows users to customize their vehicle’s one-dimensional exhaust system into a fully programmable active valve exhaust. It can be set in one of three pre-programmed configurations — Touring, Sport, and Race — and it can be fully manually adjusted. Perhaps the coolest feature is a QuickMute button that let’s drivers instantly quiet their rides to stay out of trouble.

“What makes this system so unique is our kit features a continuously variable valve position which is controlled using a full color, backlit 3.5-inch touchscreen display,” said Greg Senser, Holley’s National Accounts Sales Manager. “This allows users to adjust on the fly. Our valve controller is also the perfect solution for tracks with sound restrictions as our controller features a manual mode for fixed valve positioning which is adjustable from 0-100 percent.”
