Why not just forget the big block and stroke a 351W to about 400 inches, throw in a roller cam and some Canfield R heads. You'd have less weight more torque and one bad ass motor. This might be a fair challange against a 454 but I'd still put my money on the Ford. Now if you want to cheat any 385 series big block Ford would need ballast in the trunk to slow it down enough to make a fair comparison.
