Mechanical fuel pump VS. Electric fuel Pump

If you have a street car, and it doesn't make over 500hp, you don't NEED an electric pump.

Mechanical pumps are much more quiet and reliable (not to mention less expensive) than electric units. They are my overwhelming first choice for regularly street driven cars.

You're not going to gain any significant power by switching to an electric pump if the mechanical is doing it's job of keeping the bowls filled with fuel. [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif[/img]
