A couple of questions regarding Broncos...
I have an 1989 Bronco, and it needs a new engine, I have never messed around with disassembling a fuel injection system before, and I need to take off the intake obviously to pull out and put in the new engine. My question is, what do I need to do? I know the system develops pressure while working, do I have to de-pressurize the lines, and if so how? And when re-installing it, do I re-pressurize it, or does the fuel pump do that? It's not going to be any kind of performance upgrade, just a good solid rebuilt unit put in to replace the current engine doing a wonderful impression of the Exxon Valdez.
The second question is also in regards to a Bronco, I want to swap out the worn out 302 and drop in a 351W I have that was just recently rebuilt. I know the oil pan from the 302 will not work on the 351, obviously, but where do I acquire a new (want to make sure the rails are all straight, and not messed up from over tightened bolts) oil pan for this swap? I also need one that has a dipstick in the pan, the 351W I have has it's dipstick in the timing cover, and I know that just won't work for a rear sump oilpan. Thanks for any help guys, you all have always been good at giving me good help before, and I hope you all can help again!
Mike
