Guys, In think I might have resolved my stripped bowl thread problem, I have it at a shop right now, they will drill it out and push in a piece of aluminum stock and drill/tap it for me. Now to the question, since I have this thing tore apart I was thinking about removeing the choke horn. I will be running a very large scoop and was thinking the horn would be in the way of good flow into the carb, what do you think?

Any tips for doing this trick would be appreciated, should I go forward with this modification.
