With a 532 inch big block, you'd better have a cage anyway. In that case, it'd be money ahead to backhalf it (unless you want the sleeper look) and add the appropriate rollcage. I think it'd be easier to work around a FOX than a SN-95, but I have seen some nasty-running SN-95's out there with big blocks. I prefer the "boxy" look of the FOX cars or the '99-later Mustangs. A friend of ours is building a carbon-fiber body '02 with CM chassis that should weigh around 2200 w/driver. Outta scream with his 2200 HP turbo 408!
