Hollywood has deep pockets. So do music & software giants. I would imagine there is a lot of corporate "influence" to reduce this type of pirating before it spreads to the point where it is unmanagable/unenforceable. By staying on top of the trends/technology, they will in theory stay ahead of the "pirates."
