No not really a clearance problem. Although I run a 3 inch air cleaner, drop down, and I do think it could use a little more airflow and I am close to the hood now. The real reason is to get some airflow across the top of the motor. It gets so hellaciously hot in Vegas, and an FE fills the engine compartment from tower to tower.

Although it stays cool engine temp wise, there is nearly zero airflow to the back corners and the floorboards and cowl get very hot.

I know it wont be revolutionary, but it may give me just a little extra movement back there.
