Soft Shift to second and third

high stalls slip, that is what gets you the high stall. The side-effect is soften shifts. The shifts may be firm, but since the converter is not as tightly locked with the engine, it does not pull the engine down in revs as instantaneously, or completely for that matter.

I thought you were having problems with *only* the 2-3. But if you just put in a high-stall and your getting soft shifts from 1-2 and 2-3, then that is normal. Surprised the heck outta me the first time I put in a high-stall.
