One of the bushings on one of my front shocks disintegrated the other day. It started making a rattling noise, so I had a look at it and the bushing is gone on the one side, the other looks like hell. The shocks look pretty darned old, so I figure new shocks are in order.

What is a good shock for a '68 Galaxie. Any pros and cons to different brands or models? I'll take whatever suggestions you have. I'll probably be replacing them in a few days.

Also, any tips or tricks as to doing the job are welcome. I've never done it before, so is there anything to look out for, or anything that may make the job a little easier? Anything else I should look at or replace while I'm at it?
