Justy had a look thru a Ford Interchange book (that doesn't actually list the Galaxie) It seems that the right side is the longer shaft on every axle they listed (mustang, cougar, fairlane, torino, comet, falcon etc)
My duff axle shaft is still at the machine shop, I'll drop by there on Monday & gets the part # off it. [img]/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]
