Rick I don't know on that one. Neither the 9" nor the 8.75" have tapered housings. Supposedly by the tag the 8.75 has the large bearings also but I have never taken them out to look. In fact the drums have either never been off this rearend or someone actually put the retainers back on the studs that they use at the factory to hold the drums on.
