Mavman,
Where did you get you motor mount currently way into a 302 swap in a 70 Mav I6 car, motor mounts suck, I need the little conversion piece ideas.
I had a couple and they involved a little welding and fabricating?

On both of our Mavs, I just used stock 'early 80's Mercury 302 mounts. They have a hole at each end and use a long 1/2" bolt to hold them to the frame mounts in the stock Mercs. I just lowered the engine to where I "thought" it should be (used 1/2" spacers between the motor mount and frame on one of the mavs) and drilled right through the frame. Went as fast as 6.60 in the 1/8 with a 1.40 60' like that...and ran consistent 6.80's for 2 1/2 years with not one problem out of the mounts. This last winter I bit the bullett and backhalfed the car and installed an M2 Front end with a bunch of help from Coolfalcon. Best thing I ever did to that car. A 351w now looks teeny tiny in that engine bay.
