The FMX is a fine transmission. The bid you have is not low enough. Keep shopping. I had mine rebuilt 4 months ago and it is very strong. I had a little local shop with a great reputation build mine. The owner of the shop rebuilt it personally, then made me come back in 2000 miles and have the filter and fluid changed. I paid $550+tax for the in/out+ rebuild+2000mi. checkup.

Sounds like your fella' has himself a girlfriend/ dragcar/ boat/ big house/ 4dr-dually-diesel-4wd-PU-&-camper/ money-blowing-wife habit to support.

If you DO have that shop do your transmission, be sure to get some deep tongue kissing, too, else you're getting just plain screwed. LOLOLOLOLOL!
