It all started last week at Carlisle.......

I've been thinking about adding another ride to the fleet. No good reason, other than "more is better".

There has been a bit of 63/64 "Big Merc" activity around me the last year or so. I got to thinkin' that a nice 63/64 Marauder 4 gear would be a cool ride.

I saw Donald Allen at Carlisle so I asked him if he knew of any good ones. He said he'd just sold a 64 427 last month, but he knew of a 64 Park Lane Convertible that might be coming up for sale sometime soon. I didn't want a rag, I wanted a Fastback, but when he mentioned that it was powered with a Lord Almighty Four Twenty Seven CAMMER it kinda got me to thinkin'...................

Maybe I don't need a big Merc, but just MAYBE the old Esled needs a CAMMER!

So there ya got it, folks......I got the fever and I got it bad!

Lots of car nuts will talk about their "dream cars". I kinda got past that a while back 'cause I've had a whole bunch o' cool cars over the years and it would be real hard to pick one as the "ultimate".

But I'm just thinkin' that the Old Edsel 'Liner with a big old Cammer under the hood might come close........
