How about who we are and what Fairlane we have?

1963 Fairlane 500 hardtop with the original 260. Car came from North Carolina last March with a three speed. Good thing I didn't take the sellers advise to drive it home to NJ. It barely made it from the roll back up my driveway! Yanked out the broken up three speed and found the coveted five bolt C4 bellhousing on E-Bay. Finished installing the rebuilt '65 C4 two months ago. Tore up my shoulder in the process. The interior looks like someone had a hatchet fight in there. Needs everything, seats, door panels, headliner, pans and carpets.

1963 Falcon Futura hardtop. Bought this one four years ago and drove it around with the 170 and Fordomatic until I lost high gear coming home from the "Pumpkin run." Ripped out the 170/Fordmatic and the rear. Put in the V-8 rear I got with the car, and a 302/C4 from an '80 T-Bird with 62,000 original miles. 10 grand later, the car runs like a bear and looks great! Made custom door panels since new ones are so high.

Still debating how far I want to go with the Fairlane since with me it is about the trophies. The Falcon gets no respect when you got some clown who has deep pockets that can buy and sell those 50-60 thousand dollar classics and take home all of the trophies.

Later!
