I've tried watching NASCAR a few timew with my friends, but I just don't get it. Driving around in circles makes me dizzy. Give me the old 1/4 mile, short and sweet!

What could be more boring???????? Have you ever seen a NHRA event that pulled 150 to 200 thousand fans? No and never will; not even totaling the TV fans. That's why you never see a live NHRA event on the tube. There's just as many, if not more, restrictive rules in drag racing as there are in NASCAR. All the pro stock and gassers and the big boys run the same thing. You can't tell one car from the next. Don't get me wrong, I love the drags, but mostly the shallow pocket guys in their homemades.
Every NASCAR NEXTEL race is sold out, from New Hampshire to California, so they are not all southern rednecks. They are talking about going to Canada next. The foriegn countries love NASCAR.
Ray Everhan had the biggest fine in NASCAR history when he worked with Gordon. If they were so bias JR would not have been fined 25 points last year for saying **** . I'm not a Jr. fan but, that wasn't a fair shake. He's been cut a lot of breaks on the track, but that wasn't one of them.
Takes a lot of nerve and skill to run NASCAR. Jeff Gordon once told my nephew that he would driive a Volkswagon if it meant driving in the Winston Cup. He won the Busch in a Ford.
