Did you loosen the upper A-arm bolts while you were putting them in? If so did you tighten them with the front end in the air? If you did that, then you preloaded the front end that way. Loosen the upper A-arm bolts and lower the front end on the ground and bounce it a few times. Then tighten the Upper A-arm bolts.
