66 ford heads? How do you plug the hole for the air tubes

I guess I should have been clear about what I thought you were asking.

The advice I gave was based on the FE heads, which had A.I.R. fittings in the exhaust ports.

What people are responding to (at least it seems like it) are EGR exhaust ports drilled thru the length of late model (80-something and above) windsor smog heads. Those do take the factory insert to plug and resize the thread hole down to a 7/16(?) used to mount engine accessories off the front.

So are these heads 302/351 smog heads for windsors or FE heads with air injection in the exhaust ports...or 385 series smog heads? and do you just need to plug them or are you going to need to use them for mounting alternator, power steering pump, etc? once the ends or openings to the outside air are plugged...you don't really need to fill the holes perfectly...they will plug with exhaust soot by as long as they can not exit to the outside air. Or is this something entirely different?
