Questions about ported E7\'s & ported stock EFI intake (long post, sorry)

I recently acquired a set of what look to be nicely done E7's. I know they aren't "hogged out" and are not even gasket matched...in other words, it appears they are more "polished" than "ported" IMO. The exhaust "bumps" are gone, and the portes look to be mildly reshaped. I added a little sandpaper roll work myself just to basically finish what someone else started.

My question:
Being that these heads have stock size valves, would it be pointless to "open up" these heads, like shown in the TECH DEPT. section, or might I be forcing the valves and porting work to fight each other by doing that? In other words, if the ports now flow to their potential, should I even consider bigger valves?

My next question:
I also have TWO ported stock lower intakes, as well as a cut/ported/welded stock upper. Obviously, the upper is now sealed back up, so that's done as far as I'm concerned. The lowers have two different "personalities" so to speak...One was "hogged out" by me with alot of concentartion on the doglegs on Cylinders 1 & 5. The other lower has simply been Extrude Honed. Which LOWER should I use? Or should I get them flow tested and go from there?

FWIW, the upper intake ports are slightly smaller than the lowers...the cylinder head intake ports are slightly larger than the intake. The head's exhaust ports are slightly smaller than the header openings, so I "HOPE" I'm thinking right and believe that I shouldn't have any "man-made" flow obstructions with this setup?

Sorry for the long first post, lol...

BTW, I also did some blending of the MAC header inlets since I figure that couldn't possibly hurt anything. I also opened up the headers outlets to 2-3/8", instead of the MAC stock size of 2"...I figured since I have a complete 2-1/2" exhaust, why should exhaust flow be bottlenecked as soon as it leaves the engine...
