1966 Falcon Sportscoup Futura

It may not have been rare back in 66, but like all old cars it is getting rarer by the day. I see flatbeds loaded with at least 16 crushed cars every day, and they are all old 60's-70's cars. Play this little game the next time you are driving along. Count how many vehicles you come across that are carbureted. If you love old cars like me and my buddies, it will be a sobering reminder that the rides we grew up working on and taking for granted are rapidly disappearing on their way to china to be melted down. So, to answer your question, was it rare? Probably not. Is it rare today, definitely! I just recently rescued a 66 Comet 202 sports coupe and have been working on it. A friend of mine sent me a picture of the navy launching a 66 falcon off of an aircraft carrier. If I can find it I will post it here.
