I am talking just on the street, I can fit a 351 but it seems I only get discouragement due to the weight, possible heating issues and swearing Im only going to break everything. Just so were on the same page, Everyone keeps saying Im rediculous and I could just put a 302 crank in my 289 with a good cam 10:1 and ported 289 heads and have a screamer for cheap. Do you think that would do the job? Of course Id rather not spend 10,000 if I dont have to, but it needs to do the job. 2nd most popular so far (from the guys around here) is the 347. Since my gearing is right where it should be and I think my weight (3000) is around your cars weight I think I could go off of your examples as far as comparing what certain motors with X amount of power would act like in my truck.
