Proper pushrod length?

Hey all, I have an 85 mustang with a 302 that I bought from a friend and I don't think he installed the proper pushrods when he changed the cam/rocker arms. I haven't measure them yet but several of them are bent and I have an inclination he never replaced them with the proper length pushrods. I have heard/read that buying an adjustable pushrod is the easiest way, but before I buy that and stare at it like an idiot, I would like to have an idea of what to do.

Thanks, Nate
