Re: NEW! Hedman headers for early Mustangs, take a look!

Looking for similar headers myself. Those seem good and they have ceramic versions too (checking from summit website). However, I went through some effort to get good brakes to my car and wouldn't like to give up the power brakes... I currently have coated (stock bolt pattern) Hedman elites in my car and the workmanship is not particularly good (clearance for bolts not good causing lot of hassle in attachment, one hole welded shut, flange around #8 not straight causing sealing issue). They have served the purpose, but not particularly a first class set. Huslers are more expensive, so they may be better quality, but I don't have personal experirence to judge that.

I have previously purchased several headers from FPA for my 351C and my buddies cars and they have been very nicely made (and the coating is better looking too, whether it's functionally any better I dunno). I think I'll check with FPA if they would be interested to make similar stepped set (they have 1 3/4" wide bolt pattern Windsor set already ) which clears power brakes, as I need bigger pipes for my 408W. Hedman Huslers seem to be in similar (high) price range too, so that wouldn't make difference here.
