I don't see a problem with it in this car because of the weight. I pulled this box from a salvage yard 3500 pound car, and it didn't crack in all it's years on the street, so surely not in it's new life. The pitman arm doesn't extend any further out in this application than it did in it's stock form, now if this was a true center steer car, a pillow block would be needed.
