Question Horn Ring

Hi You Guys, I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. I recently bought a 65 Mustang three arm horn ring at a swap meet, you know, just a standard horn ring not a GT or anything like that. Well I got to "jawing " with the seller and never payed any attenton to the ring until I got it home and started to clean it. The hub of the ring has FORD across the top over the running horse but it has NOTHING on the bottem under the the horse. I think every one I have ever seen has The word MUSTANG there. The back of the item is cast C5Z... so I am pretty sure it is an original MUSTANG piece. Anyone familiar with this oddball?? I am puzzled. Thanks for your help!! Tom
