I have a 418 solid roller engine with ported canfield cam is .688/.672 248/262 and the power peaks at 5800, I would go to the next larger cam that motor will still run fine. With the money involved I would be pretty darn sure what stall I'd run its a pita to change later imo. I wouldn't pay very much attention to the comp cams tech.
