I had this issue on a turbo coupe, the fuel pressure regulator had a hole in it letting the engine vac pull excess fuel into the intake drowning out the engine in a few cylinders. Take the vac hose off the regulator and pull it down with a vac pump. If it drops or you see fuel in the line it is shot.
