Hi Jon,
Well, I couldn't find "edit" so maybe you can put this where it goes. And thanks for consolidating my pics last night too. I realized too late that that's what I should have done. So.......
65 Ranchero real V8 car. Much rust and bondo. I'm basically working out the bugs on this car before putting everything into the green car in the pic and doing a cherry resto. It's a 64 6cyl car with a great body and no rust. The black car is nice in that I drive it everyday and don't have to worry about it getting banged up, and fortunately for me, rat cars are kinda in :-). It's got Monarch disc brakes up front, 4spd top loader, Auburn 3.4-1 posi, and this new 5.0 motor I just built out of a 88 roller cam Mustang. I'm a machinist at a Napa Auto parts store and basically did the whole shebang, balanced-blueprinted etc. Using a lot of Edelbrock stuff, RPM cam, airgap manifold, fuelpump. Ford racing lifters, pushrods, valvesprings, underdrive pulleys. The only cheap route I took (cost, certainly not labor) was with the heads. I didn't really have the bucks to go aftermarket aluminum so I found some small chamber 298 heads off a 65 Mustang and put 1.94 intake and 1.6 exhaust valves, and ported the heck out of them. I actually had a speed shop guy flow bench one head, port one chamber's worth, and I copied it with the other 7. It has about 100miles on it and runs real strong. I just joined up so looking forward to reading and talking FORDS.
Jim.
