Re: cruise o matic or ford o matic?

Usually the Ford-o-matic was in small block or I-6 cars. On the column, the gear selector dial might say cruise-o-matic or nothing but the P-R-N-D-L and that's it. Ford-o tranny's had either 14, 15 or 16 pan bolts, 14 for a 2 speed. The FMX and cruise-o's had 15 bolts and were mostly a square shape, no bends except for 1 small one. On the tranny, a cruise -o matic has a PCC-D tag#. The vin will tell what code the tranny was and then you can go further.
