99 3.8 valve issue

Hi Bumblebee here from the Galaxie Boards....I have a quick question for the Mustang Guys (I have had 5 by the way, a 64 1/2, 68, 74, 85 and now a 99) My wife's 99 v6 3.8 has had a slight valve rattle problem which has become more pronounced lately. At first I thought it was crappy gas (detonation) as it didn't do it all of the time. It has become more pronounced lately. Car has @90,000 mi, a K&N, Duals with Flowmasters and preconverters removed. She does drive it like the proverbial little ole lady.(carbon buildup???) Anyone else have this issue (the valve noise not a wife with LOL syndrome). Are the valves adjustable on the 3.8???? I added some tranny fluid to the oil in case of a stuck lifter with no effect. I use Mobile 1 and Motorcraft filters exclusively. Thanks in advance for any assistance or insight into this.
Keith
