Re: 1968 Mustang - Restomod Hardtop

Now the paint is good, let's work on the wiring harness. I bought a complete set from Painless, excellent quality, easy to install.

I swapped my drums for 13" disc brake from Vintage Venom. Amazing product.

Rear axle has been rebuild, sandblasted, painted in black. New bearing set, differential and axle ratio.

As you can see: subframe connectors, Traction bar, rear sway bar.

Now, we can move the car!

It's nice! Engine is back and installed!

It looks like to a Mustang now...

Originally, my car had an automatic transmission. I always wanted a manual one so I bought a B&W T10 transmission, it broke at the first engine running, a bearing ceased and broke the transmission. Then, I bought from Modern Driveline a T5Z transmission... Of course, I had to buy a new pedal set, found on Ebay...

After many fuel leaks on the dual feed line (poor quality), I bought a new one from Summit:

Now, the end of this huge topic, yesterday, 11/20/2007. Ready for the final paint: white with 2 blue stripes...

I spent 2 hours to write this. For you, can I proudly say: "It's my Restomod car"? I would say yes but...

I probably forgot some other rusty surprises, I apologyze but I did my best to reduce 3 years of my experience for you...
