T10--gears and such are accessed through a cover on the driver's side of the main case. The 1-2 and 3-4 shifter arms are contained on this access cover. Reverse shifter arm is located on the tailshaft.

Toploader--as the name implys, gears and such are accessed from the top of the case through a sheet metal cover. All shift rods are found on the main case and there is no access panels on the side of this case.
