All alcohol is hygroscopic, so yes it's "corrosive". So is Methanol. Use a good top lube and keep water out of the system and there will be fewer problems.

Don't BS when it comes to alcohol - vapors above alcohol will ignite at ambient temps (unlike gas and diesel) and it requires more care in handling and storing. It ain't magic, just a fuel with different properties.
