The only difference in heads is in 2000, the engine/heads came from the Windsor plant while in 2001, they started to shift back to Romeo engines/heads. However, the differences in heads only affect you if you are installing cams, valve covers, or a new timing cover (Windsor heads use press on gears, 13 bolt valve covers, and a slightly larger bolt for the timing cover). As for a tune, just go to your local dyno shop to get a tune.
