Re: Clutch switch for MSD 2-Step

ok..Not so brillant...back to basics! I'm not using a pressure switch. I will be using a 5-pole relay. On the relay it has pins ( 87, 87A, 86, 85, & 30) . I run my 12v supply from arming switch to pin 30. Then, from pin 87A to wide open throttle switch. This would be a NC set-up. Since the MSD 2-Step operates off ground, I will run the Leg from 2-Step to a steering wheel button...then, from button to pin 85. Pin 86 will have a 12v constant supply. In entrum, when I push the button for the 2-Step, this will ground and energize the coil and the relay will dis-engage power to the wide open throttle switch! Ta Da! I will probably hook up a green light in relation to the WOT, than way I have a visual that the light goes out before I mat the gas pedal. Note to self: The MSD 2-Step leg and wire to pin 85 need to be on the same side of the button and the other side to chassis(Ground). Also, pin 87 needs insulted. More info on Relays
