I'd give my left arm to have a shot at the DIRT modified deal because I've always had to run a low buck racing operation. Unless I fell into a bunch of money, it'll never happen. My son-in-law works for Pizza Hut and is in the National Guard. He, my daughter and granddaughter don't have much, so I'd rather put him to work as the team manager rather than give them a big handout. They'd be too proud to accept one anyway. But I would want to ensure my granddaughter Waldo's future. But our family business would be racing.
I have no family except for my roommate and her two adult kids. All would be involved in my racing biz and would be taken care of well. In fact, my "man" Rob, age 28 would be racin' and wrenching along with me. But I have a ton of friends, Deb included that I'd want to help. And no, Cal, I wouldn't expect any money if you won. I'd rather see you healthy...
