On that 70 semi-automatic C4 linkage won't work. The valve body in it is a Ford manual shift valve body.
That is the way Ford made it, but nobody wanted an automatic transmission that they had to shift the gears in. Today, we spend big bucks so we can do what Ford offerd for free.
