Hello all, figured i would share my project.
It is a 1951 Ford Deluxe 2 door. Currently has a flathead v8 in it but it will be sold. I am going to put a 302 into it.
and yes there is a story behind this car, while not much of one, but it is a story lol.
My dad bought a 1950 deluxe from the same owner when he wouldnt sell this one. At the time it was promised to his grandson. Well 2 years later his grandson came and worked on it one day, pulled the water pumps, draining the af from the engine, and left it with the hood up and pumps off for 2 years before the owner found it. that next weekend it was offered to my dad, which resulted me in staking a deal for 650 for the car.
The man who sold it was a great friend of the family and has sold us 4 cars, my first car, a 1976 AMC Gremlin, my dads 50 Ford, My dads 63 belair, and my 51 Ford. Unfortunately he passed away in october of last year in a car accident and his wife passed a few months later. So you could say this car has sentimental value to me and my dad.
I wanted to keep the flathead in it, but it is going to take alot of money to get it just running again, not to mention where i want to get it.
The body has some rust issues, but what project doesnt.

Im currently working on the brake and bearing systems. all lines are getting replaced, new wheel cylinders, shoes, etc..
And incase your wondering what brought me to this forum, is the 302 im building. here are pics of the engine.
