I am so lucky with the 427 headers on my car....I am a bit younger than your typical Galaxie owner in 2008 (I am 28). When I was 20, I was building the 64 and I knew I needed to have those headers. At all Carlisle (spring I think) I found a short set of the 406 headers. Good deal they guy wanted 500 they were perfect. I only had 400 and he made a comment something like "get out of here kid you don’t know what these are". Luck or karma came around the corner and at another vender. I found someone with about 100 sets of headers and manifolds. What did I see, a PERFECT set of long 427 headers for a 63-64 ford. Bought them....still had $50 in my pocket when I left.

I went back to that other vender and had a conversation with him about the 390 stroker this kid put together. Told him if he ever needs help building an FE or tuning a Ford tri-power set up to call me.
