A few questions...

Morning all,

My 65 Galaxie has a slight miss on idle. It's worse when it's cold. I've replaced the plugs, wires, distributor and rotor. I also had to have a new carb installed. I went with a Holley 750 mainly because the guy gave me a good deal on it. So, what else should I check? Points? Coil? How hard is it to upgrade to a pertronix and get rid of the points? would that help?

How many quarts of oil does the 390 require.

I would like to put a clutched fan on the engine. Will the fan from any big-block Ford work? I imagine I would have better luck finding one from a later model. Or can someone recommend a salvaged e-fan that I could make work? I have a Buick Regal with dual fans, and thought something like that might work, but it's about 4" too wide.

More questions to come...i'm sure.

Bryan
