You know... The more I think about these damn car's and their exploding flywheels and the Mopars with their exploding flexplate styled convertors I am betting that these big dragster and funny car drivers DO and HAVE had scatter shields... If you're running a 10 second 1/4 or a 10 second 1/8, it would make sence to have one!

So to reiterate Jon's post, HAS ANYONE SEEN or known of a blow up WITH a scatter shield?
