You guys are right, usually big trucks don't spin up that high. We don't really know what happened, but he had just finished changing the turbo out and was taking for a test drive. It's a cat 3406 engine. I'm not sure if the engine electronics just let it run away or what. All I know is i've seen gunshot wounds bad cuts and alot of gore in the military, but i've never seen anything else like this. Give yourself some sort of a saftey cushion though, that's all i'm saying.
