Does anyone know of equal length headers for a 460 in a 64 Galaxie? I have Crites Restoration headers now but they are unequal length.
This is for a Drag Car.
My street car has Hooker Competition headers on a 390 with 2 1/4 pipe all the way back with straight though Cherry Bombs and chrome trumpet tips. Sounds great.
I'm switching to 2 1/2 to help the ported heads and bigger cam breathe a little better.
With 3:50 gears I was getting 20mpg highway. With 3:73's I get about 14.
There is an article on Mustangs and Fords Magazine.Com about sequential fuel injection. The guy figures he will get 32mpg out of a 390 600HP '67 Mustang with 3:50 gears. Cost is something like $2800.00 for the kit.
Hilborn had a nice electronic injection system with the organ pipes for a nice A/FX look.
