I have taken over one hundred photos of restoreable cars in the last year. Many of the people who own them I know personally. In many cases its a power thing. By them telling you no it's not for sale gives them a power rush. My wifes cousin has a '55 Ford Custom I would love to have and he tells me he has told fifty different people no not for sale. I really think he gets a high out of knowing you want it and he has the power to say not going to happen.

It is his car and he can do whatever he pleases with it but he does seem to be vindictive about it.
