Re: 302 to FE swap
As far as the swap goes it's a bolt in transition since the 67 came with a big block, the ideal way is to find a big block donor car. I just put a 428 in a 69 Falcon and the only part that does not carry a Ford part # is the exhaust system. Now as far as the 352 goes it's probably not gonna be worth the effort or $$$, onofficially FE stands for Friggin expensive and since you've been a small block guy you're in for a real awakening. Dollar per horsepower it makes more sense to go with a stroker small block than to do a 352. Check the boneyards you never know, a guy here just picked up a 66 Tbird with a running 428 for $500.00. Another option is look around for a F700 or bigger Ford truck with a 391 FT engine, a lot of those will take a 428s 4.13 bore and a lot of them even have the 428 casted inside the freeze plug. It's gonna cost you the same to do a 352 as a bigger CI so if you start with something bigger your $$$ will go a lot farther. You can do 450 HP easy with a 428 with a good cam and some head work and get a ton of tire squealing, stump pulling low end torque. Yeah and a big block looks very impressive sitting between those shock towers....JMO
