Ford, according to their own definitions, does not have any basic TRANSMISSION part numbers starting with '7' (for transmission parts) that are 5 numerals long, e.g. '70006' does not exist for any transmission part. Either the number after the '7' is a letter or you have otherwise misread or mistranscribed it somehow. All Ford basic numbers for transmission parts follow the format of '7nnn' or '7annn'. Also, by their definition, the first character of the suffix must be a letter, not a number, so the '6' cannot be part of the suffix and therefore must be part of the basic part number. Neither can the basic part number start with a '0' because by Ford definition all transmission basic part numbers must begin with a '7'.

It IS possible that '70006' is correct for some OTHER part on the vehicle, but not a transmission part. In this case the number breaks down to '70' for the family that contains the part with the '006' being the actual type of part. Bottom line is that '7' designates transmission parts while '70' does not.

Unless you have the correct numbers, anything anyone tells you is suspect. I suggest verifying your numbers.
